Birdies and Beats

Birdies and Beats

The rhythm of two loves collide bringing Birdies and Beats to life. A collection inspired by some of the freshest old school breaks.
We've curated the official Birdies and Beats soundtrack on Spotify which you can check out using the link down the page, but before we dive into that, and some of the top tracks here's a quick peek at the Birdies and Beats collection.

Right, now let's dive into the breaks.

Music has always been a huge inspiration for the entire Birds crew, from soul to punk, indie to golden era Hip Hop. It was a select few tracks from the latter that really brought Birdies and Beats to life... if the boom box wasn't a dead give away... Volume up!!

Track 1

"Intergalactic" by the Beastie Boys is a cosmic banger from 1998's Hello Nasty. With its unforgettable robotic chorus and playful lyrics, it fuses old-school hip-hop with futuristic beats. The music video even had this crazy giant robot cutting the rug through Tokyo... what a vibe!

Track 9

Further down in the playlist you'll find one of the ultimate 80s jams - "My Adidas" by Run-DMC. This track revolutionised the rap game and inked the first ever major endorsement deal between a rap group and athletic brand. It bridged the worlds of music and fashion and absolutely inspired our passion to keep the two worlds connected on our journey. Check out the short commercial below.

Track 29
Rounding out the playlist as it currently stands, is none other than "Jump Around" by House of Pain. First off, to think this hype machine was released over 30 years ago is INSANE! It was sick then, it went hard at the Waterbury Open in Happy Gilmore and it's still an absolute party starter today.

Peace, Love and Putts.
Big Bird out.
