“Happy 2 Tee Here!” Our biggest event yet, and an absolute pearla. A completely SOLD OUT golfzilla day celebrating a movie so very close to our hearts that made us all swing a little harder in true Birds fashion. 

@Nicka35 kicked off the welcome on the dreamiest blue bird day at our home track - the Byron Bay Golf Club. All players were greeted with a jam packed goodies bag plus the official Birds X American Bodega event t-shirt which everyone rocked throughout the day. There are still some available by American Bodega through Stateside Sports here!

52 golf buggies of frothing golf geeks rolled out to their tee box, all ready to ball in an 18 hole ambrose (scramble) thriller. The fairways were electric, Stone & Wood made sure everyone had an ice-cold beer when they stepped up on the 5th and local legends from OzyMex handed everyone a delicious burrito to keep energies high. Everyone was absolutely winning with lot’s of hole activations & gifts from some of our favourite brands. 

Natural Order Wines made sure everyone had a little pack of Rose’ all day, Project PARGO gifted some very cool insulated stubby coolers and H2O bottles, EZEE FREEZE had their Mini & Mega reusable ice bags keeping key hydration vessels cool in the most eco-friendly of ways & lean Fresh Biltong had the flavour flaves hitting the taste buds perfectly. A big shout out to DJ’s Breaks on Wax + Reiflex for bustin out killer beats that filled the course all day long, safe to say that there was dancin' for both birdies and bogeys. 

The Happy Gilmore Long Drive Championship.

Finally we stepped on the highly anticipated "Happy Gilmore style" long drive event presented by TaylorMade on the 10th - an elevated and stunning hole at the BBGC with the sun setting the scene quite literally as seen in the wrap up vid. Each team chose their own MVP of the day, the chance to completely send it against 26 other golfers all super pumped to win a brand new TaylorMade Driver and the over-sized brag check. 

Raffles, Dinner & Movie Fun. 

After the prezzo we ran a massive raffle raising much needed funds for the Starlight Children’s Foundation set up by our mate @Nicka35, combined with the help from our newest Birds golf ambassador - Jess Green. She was set up on the 8th selling Hole in 1’s for each groups scorecards which had a 100% strike rate - we are so stoked to support this and raised over $3000.00 for this amazing charity.

Dinner, drinks and the days highlights echoed through the clubhouse… There wasn’t one person without a massive smile on their dial, such an incredible day was finished perfectly as we all squashed in front of the big screen to watch the premier screening of Happy Gilmore 2. Popcorn in one hand, a beer in the other and a lot of laughs as we watched Happy do his thing once again.
